Brewers For Clean Water Group Opposes EPA Nominee

February 15, 2017: "BREWERS FOR CLEAN WATER" GROUP ASKS U.S. SENATE TO REJECT  EPA NOMINEE

A group of 32 brewers from across the U.S., members of the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC)  "Brewers for Clean Water" partnership, has sent a letter to the U.S. Senate asking it to reject the EPA Nominee, Scott Pruitt. 

Citing Pruitt's "history of attacking and undermining protections upon which we depend," the brewers group stated "[o]ur breweries cannot operate without reliable, clean water supplies," and that "Pruitt's record of attacking clean water protections shows that he is the wrong choice to lead the agency."

Breweries signing the letter urging the Senate to oppose Pruitt as the head of the EPA include large craft breweries such as: Allagash Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brewery, Goose Island Beer Co., Half Acre Beer Co., Lakefront Brewery, New Belgium Brewing Company, and Smuttynose Brewing Company.
