WALKING TREE BREWERY, VERO BEACH, RELEASES BOTTLES OF TWO NEW BOURBON BARREL-AGED BEERS, OCTOBER 27

Vero Beach, FL: Award-winning brewery Walking Tree Brewery releases bottles of its two latest beers from the brewery's barrel-aged program on Friday, October 27, at 4pm, in the Vero Beach tap room.
Walking Tree's Barnacled Manatee Barleywine is the reigning Best Beer in Florida, as named by the Best Florida Beer competition held in Tampa in March. For the brewery's First Anniversary this past July, the brewers released a red wine-barrel aged version of the beer aged in French Oak red wine barrels for eight months. According to a statement from Daniel Rey, Operations Manager, another portion of the base beer was aged in bourbon barrels for eight months. Barnacled Manatee Barleywine is brewed once each year.
Another beer only brewed once-per-year is the brewery's Breconshire Imperial Porter. The new version has been aged in bourbon barrels for 10 months, "ready to enjoy now, or cellared in a cool place to continue to age," said Rey.

In addition to the bottle releases, the tap room will pour several special beers on draft for the occasion: 2016 and 2017 Breconshire Imperial Porter; 2017 Red Wine Barrel-Aged Breconshire Porter with Rio Coco Coffee Beans; and Duke Snider's Imperial Stout, a Bronze medal winning beer at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival, awarded on October 7 in Denver.
Walking Tree Brewery also earned a Gold Medal for Barnacled Manatee Barleywine, a Silver Medal for Duke Snider's Imperial Stout, and a Bronze Medal for White Walking Tree IPA, in addition to being named Best Small Brewery in Florida at the Best Florida Beer Championship in March -- an impressive showing for a brewery just over one year young.
Walking Tree Brewery is located at 3209 Dodger Rd., Vero Beach. The tap room opens at 3pm Monday-Friday, and 12pm on weekends.
