Ancient City Brewing, Bog Brewing Company, Old Coast Ales and Dog Rose Brewing have teamed up to highlight the city's craft beer presence and give locals and visitors alike a fun way to experience their breweries -- and, receive a complimentary pint of beer at each. To participate, just purchase the special-edition Nights of Pints commemorative t-shirt ($25) at any of the four breweries, get your beer passport, and get ready to explore!
The City of St. Augustine lights up on November 18, when the switch is flipped at "Light Up Night" in the Plaza, marking the start of the annual Nights Of Lights spectacle, which runs through January 31. The downtown will sparkle with over 3 million twinkling white lights.

"We feel this is a great opportunity to have some fun and showcase the wonderful diversity between our St. Augustine craft brewers," said Steve Mendoza, co-owner and brewer at Bog Brewing Company, in a statement. "We hope that this is the first of many Nights of Pints, and the event will continue to grow and introduce craft beer to all of our neighbors here in the state of Florida."
During Nights of Pints, which will run concurrently with Nights of Lights, each brewery will also serve new seasonal beers for the occasion. Simply bring the Nights of Pints passport to each brewery to receive a complimentary beer. The breweries aim to raise awareness of St. Augustine as a craft beer destination, in addition to already being a tourist destination.
"We are really excited to be a part of what St. Augustine is doing on the craft beer scene," added Old Coast Ales co-owner Matt Hooker. "It is a great collaborative effort to give people the opportunity to sample the best of what each brewery is doing. We all have a style or niche ... as brewers. With St. Augustine's four breweries opening in just the past couple of years, we feel that as a small city, we are now on the radar of craft beer enthusiasts everywhere."
Bog Brewing Company, 218 West King Street, is located just to the west of downtown St. Augustine. "The Bog" opened in March 2016 and celebrated its first anniversary with a special bottle release. The family- and pet-friendly, neighborhood tap room offers inside seating and an outdoor picnic area. The brewery offers 10 rotating taps, and specializes in seasonal IPAs and Belgian-inspired ales.
Old Coast Ales is located over the Bridge of Lions, at 300 Anastasia Blvd., and opened on February 1. Old Coast Ales prides itself on brewing a wide variety of beer styles with bold flavors, using traditional old-school ingredients. The tap room features an outdoor patio overlooking "The Boulevard," with a bar and activities inside.
Ancient City Brewing, introduced its downtown tap room earlier this year at 18 Cathedral Place, across the street from the Plaza, with 10 taps. The brewery brews its beer at a separate brewhouse, located west of I-95, which also offers 20 taps. ACB is the city's only craft brewery which distributes its beers.
Dog Rose Brewing, the city's newest brewery, 77 Bridge St., opened on October 27, in the Lincolnville area just off of the downtown behind the Lightner Museum. As of opening weekend, the tap room offered six house beers on its ten taps, and a selection of six bottled wines. The large, open venue features natural wood decor, along with a touch of industrial, and offers dartboards and a shuffleboard table. Look for all styles of beers to be brewed here as the beer lineup continues to expand.
This holiday season, light things up with the local breweries during Nights of Pints while gazing at the Nights of Lights in downtown St. Augustine! Falalalala and HoHoHo your way there!
Cheers!
