Cheers to Craft Beer: American Craft Beer Week, May 14-20

May 14, 2018: With over 6,300 breweries in the U.S. (98% of which are "small and independent craft breweries"), you're sure to find a beer to raise for a toast to American Craft Beer Week!

2018 marks the 13th year for the annual week-long celebration of craft breweries as defined by the Brewers Association. From breweries and tap rooms to craft beer bars and restaurants to bottle shops, it's a nationwide party to recognize the creativity, passion, and collaboration that represents the craft beer spirit, not to mention the tastes that we love! 

This year, join the Brewers Association, and its website for craft beer enthusiasts, craftbeer.com, in the appreciation for craft beer by "pledging to seek the seal." Submit the form and your pledge to support independent craft breweries, and receive a button with the Independent Craft seal (while supplies last). 

“While beer lovers regularly enjoy their favorite independent craft beers, American Craft Beer Week is a special occasion that provides craft beer enthusiasts across the country with the opportunity to take part in a larger movement and unite for independence,” said Jess Baker, editor in chief of craftbeer.com, in a press release. “This year, we encourage beer lovers to seek the seal and remind them to support independent craft brewers during American Craft Beer Week.”

The Brewers Association calls on all craft beer lovers to be "brewnited" this year and stand up for craft beer. It created a mosaic comprised of bottles and cans from craft breweries across the country:

This week, hoist a pint, snifter, bottle or can of a favorite craft beer, or maybe one you haven't even tried yet, and say "Cheers" to craft beer!  

As if beer weren't already fun enough, you can even play "bingo" with the ACBW Bingo Card -- how many bingo squares can you fill this week? 

And, if you're badge-hunting on social app Untappd, check in any craft beer during the week for your limited-time only special 2018 ACBW badge. 

Wherever you are, look for local ACBW events, special tappings and collaborations near you - you won't have to look farther than your nearest neighborhood craft brewery or favorite craft beer spot!
