July 9, 2019: The Annual U.S. Open Beer Championship has announced its 2019 winners. Over 7000 breweries, from across the country and overseas, competed in the event, with entries in more than 130 beer style categories. Based on the individual award counts, the competition also named a "Top Ten" Brewery list. Additional honors went to the "Top 10 Most Creative Beer Names." The competition includes winning beers from the American Homebrew Association's National Homebrew Day to compete against entries from professional breweries. According to the U.S. Open Beer Championship, the contest judges more beer styles than any other competition in the world. Several new styles were added this year, including new barrel-aged beers, and Hemp Beer.
